About bulk WHOIS lookups
WHOIS records are the public registry data for a domain — who registered it, when it was created, when it expires, which registrar holds it, and which nameservers it points to. Most registries enforce a 60-day minimum renewal grace period, but relying on registrar emails alone is risky: spam filters, address-book changes, and corporate inbox rotation are the most common reason a critical domain lapses.
DomainOps monitors registered domains continuously and alerts on expiry, registrar changes, and nameserver drift. This free checker is a one-shot snapshot — for ongoing monitoring, sign up free and add your domains.
FAQ
Why does my domain show "Not supported"?
Some country-code TLDs (ccTLDs) restrict WHOIS access or require special protocols. We'll continue to expand TLD coverage; affected domains can still be monitored once added to a DomainOps account.
What does "Expiring soon" mean?
Amber covers any domain expiring in 7–30 days. Red covers under 7 days or already expired. Both deserve action — most registrars charge a higher renewal fee inside the grace period.
Is this rate-limited?
Yes — five bulk runs per IP per hour. WHOIS servers themselves rate-limit aggressively, so we cap requests to keep the service available for everyone.
